Past blogs have shared with you the diabolical marketing from the Pharmaceutical companies that has created millions of people not being able to start their day without a drug to prevent a sickening withdrawal. I repeatedly have written and said on air that future historians will be writing about how millions became addicted from legal prescription drugs and tens of thousands died in a technological age in which the media remained silent. We have government leadership that has put the Pharmaceutical company interests in front of the health of our families and communities.

The ingenious marketing of pharmaceuticals has bypassed science and targeted our emotions. We make most of our buying decisions based on an emotional level of need. The advertising, the packaging, the image created from the marketing, etc. all are a major part of our buying decisions and where we shop. Our car purchase is not based on our utilitarian needs.

Emotions and logic do not always coincide. Our compassion and caring is being exploited by Pharma. The emotional messages for pain, depression, anxiety, children’s issues, and a myriad of ailments has completely convoluted our thinking that has led to needless death and destruction. Every sheriff in the country will attest to our illogical response concerning prescription drugs as the destruction marches onward.

“Not Safe as Prescribed” continues to be a difficult message for the majority of people. Our emotional and caring being has been hijacked by the multi-billion dollar promotional budgets of Pharma. Your doctor and medical professionals are given the attributes of a drug based on emotion and not science. Pharma and your doctor hide behind the “safe as prescribed” mantra of the FDA.

A “drug kills” and creates severe withdrawals over time and your doctor hides behind the emotional and “rational message” Pharma has created for them. The drugs that create far too many negative outcomes are called “prescription drugs” in the same breath as penicillin. Pharma has masterfully marketed and capitalized on mixing in the dangerous drugs with the life saving drugs.

The FDA that has become dependent on the drug company user fees continues to be a pawn and an accomplice to the mass destruction the legal drugs are creating.

The media has lost their critical thought processes to the emotional message Pharma has created in our society.

I am waiting for the mass media to understand the meaning of the Renaissance Age (a period in which critical thinking emerged).

There were two recent occurrences that started a riveting conversation between Montana, Cedric and myself Tuesday night. I accidently saw a David Chappell rerun that depicted Black men denigrating and stereotyping the African American male.

On the radio show I played a rap song that included the F and N words and encouraged “popping the molly” (ecstasy). I don’t remember the B word in this particular rap song.

In my world, there is no tolerance for bigotry and racism. But, I have come to the realization that the instincts of hatred remain entrenched in corporate America. If a buck can be made from a concept, then a creative marketing message needs to be accepted. This is true for any product or business.

The entertainment industry and related industries make money from promoting racism. The messenger has become the African American entertainer who continues to be given a free reign to expound upon stereotypes, drugs, and negative decisions every young person of every generation has faced. EVERY young person today is seeing and hearing the message “pop the molly” and F’in Nig….. brings. The drug and alcohol mavens in the business suits understand how to move concepts and products to our streets under the guise of entertainment.

Society laments the statistically sad economic and social state of the minority communities and the bigotry that it generates. Meanwhile, corporate America laughs going to the bank from the message creatively passed along to foment the condition.

A few of the “Black leaders” seize upon the economic opportunity racism brings and ALL of America’s leaders remain silent on the message being generated from the entertainment industry.

Unfortunately, too many people in white America have their bigotry reinforced by watching “pop the molly” and David Chappel reruns.

Every generation has passed through a phase of youth that includes challenging the norms of the older generations before them. The entertainment industry has been in the forefront of every movement. Elvis, Lennon, McCartney, Mick and Dylan were the messengers of the 50′s and 60′s. In an earlier age, society would not have tolerated the message coming from the entertainment industry today.

The news media remains silent. The media makes their money from human tragedies and momentary turmoil. Writing about the evils of racism sells more papers and creates more viewers than searching for the root causes.

The radio show is attempting to peel away the hypocrisy and truth about the drug distribution to our communities. We need an open discussion to understand the marketing and selling of drugs into our neighborhoods.

Tuesday night I came to realize we need an open and honest discussion on why we are allowing the stereotypes and negative influences that impede social progress to be promulgated by people of color on behalf of corporate America.

The horrendous story coming out of Cleveland sickens me each day. It remains hard to believe a monster can exist undetected within a community.

Three women and a six year old child are facing an adjustment to freedom few can have any foresight on. However, the power of Pharma wasted no time on seizing upon the moment.

As the story of the three women began to unfold, I was watching a CNN segment with a “professional” who indicated the women needed immediate “professional care”. I remember the terms “Depression” and “Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome” (PTSD) being used. For the mental health profession, both terms are synonymous with creating a lifetime dependency on mind numbing legal drug therapy prior to extensive psychological alternatives.

FOX news documented what their resident psychiatrist said: “He told the hosts that he was concerned about the authorities’ decision to release Berry from the hospital this soon after her freedom from captivity.” http://www.mediaite.com/tv/foxs-dr-keith-ablow-irresponsible-to-send-amanda-berry-home-yet-because-her-demons-may-come-back/ He also said: “Listen, I won’t second guess the doctors, but it wouldn’t have been a bad idea to have her stay a few extra days and get some psychiatric counseling,”

Psychiatry and drugs are terms that are interchangeable.

In other words: The women would have been better off in the care of the psychiatrists and mental health care system than in the loving environment of their families who had not seen them for ten years! The women would have been better off possibly receiving drugs within 24 hours of their freedom than allowing them to reacclimatize themselves to the families and world they were torn from!

I remain amazed at the power Pharma continues to have over the major media outlets. Within a day, Pharma had “experts” who were advocating that a mental health care system that is broken and controlled by Pharma money was better than the care of a loving family.

My heart and best wishes are with the three women and child from Cleveland. My biggest wish is for them to become part of the community as soon as possible and for the grasps of Pharma to be kept at a distance as long as possible.

A “diagnosis” and accompanying mental health “label”, along with a cocktail of drugs, has the potential to forever keep them imprisoned.

Tuesday night’s show created a revelation. It started with a book written by Dr. Barry Sears called “The Zone Diet” – 1995. http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/enter-the-zone-barry-sears/1112495981?cm_mmc=googlepla-_-book_25to44-_-q000000633-_-9780060391508&cm_mmca2=pla&ean=9780060391508&isbn=9780060391508&r=1

Sears was the first who brought to my attention that “food is a powerful medicine”. Proper nutrition acts as both a preventative and a cure for many ailments. The philosophy of a food being the best thing for your body has remarkably been passed over by the drug company marketing.

“Seniors have to choose between food and drugs” goes back to at least April 13, 2000 http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/CRECB-2000-pt4/pdf/CRECB-2000-pt4-Pg5668-2.pdf

The phrase is attributed to Senator Chuck Grassley. With one out of four seniors taking as many as 10 to 19 pills daily, it appears the Pharma message has been successful marketing to the medical professions that drugs are better than food.

Recently McDonald’s was fined in Brazil for “targeting children with their Happy Meals and Toys”. http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2013-04-22/news/sns-rt-mcdonalds-braziladvertisingl2n0d91nh-20130422_1_happy-meal-mcdonald-brazil I am assuming that other jurisdictions around the world will begin to follow Brazil’s logic.

“Fact is more bazaar than fiction”.

With at least five million children being diagnosed with “ADHD” (a Pharma term) our medical and educational establishments continue to support amphetamine based drugs as the remedy. Drugs that affect the delicate neurotransmitters in a developing brain and affect the cardiovascular and hormonal systems of our children are handed out by the most intelligent professions in our society.

“DRUGS – NOT HUGS” has become the mainstay for treating our children most in need.

We have evolved into a society where the Happy Meal is dangerous. We have a company paying millions of dollars in fines for enticing your child to eat a hamburger and play with a toy while eating.

Meanwhile, the same mom who has been convinced a Happy Meal is dangerous sends their child to school with a powerful mind altering drug. The drug is given by a professional in school who is also more concerned about the ingredients in a Happy Meal than the ingredients of the pill they are jamming down the throat of the child.

Harold Hill in The Music Man said: ” Mothers of River City, heed that warning before it’s too late!”

I seldom categorize or criticize an individual who needs financial help. I continue to be proud of my freedom to speak out every Tuesday night and I am proud to be in a country that has programs in place that help out a fellow citizen in need. I live each day knowing that an event or phone call can disrupt my life forever. I have heard from too many people who are living through a life changing event. Thankfully, our government resources are available if people need help.

The challenge becomes: who should play God on who gets government help?

If God would designate me in charge for a day, I would put a stop to able bodied men who are capable of working and have become “freeloaders” off of the government. After a designated time frame from a life changing event (job loss), it’s time to get back to work. For this category of male who is able to drive, go to the grocery store, and navigate outside the home, a designated “Deadbeat” category should be created if they are on the government payroll.

The business suits who want to bring more drugs to our children and communities have discovered the Deadbeat who has time on their hands.

Recently, a “35 year old Navy Veteran” used the resources of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), to sue the state of Florida for demanding drug tests for people applying for welfare benefits http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/news_politics/2013/02/appeals-court-upholds-drug-testing-injunction.html The 35 year old Deadbeat has the time to fight a drug test, but no time to find a job.

Recently, a “64 year old 100% disabled veteran” ran out to protest the police pulling out his marijuana plants. http://www.bradenton.com/2013/02/26/4409613/poll-7-in-10-back-florida-medical.html This Deadbeat has the energy to demand pot legalization, but no capabilities to work.

Recently, “A Proud Marijuana Smoker” had the time and money to fight a pot charge in Florida. Although his employment history was not revealed, a video displays his inability to put a sentence together and his surroundings in the video reveal he would interview poorly for a job interview (or if he can fill out an application) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0mqhC_JbwA

I am surprised the Deadbeat has become the spokesperson for the legalization crowd. The media will gladly interview and document a Deadbeat’s actions as it pertains to drugs and the court system. The Deadbeat, if it pertains to liberalization of drug use, is glorified as a victim of the legal system.

The media does not ask or document the job applications the Deadbeat put in before publicly becoming a spokesperson for the marijuana and drug industry.

Two stories in the last week concern the radio show. The radio show revealed the apparent influence that a “drug dealing doctor’s” attorney may have with the state prosecuting attorney, Jeff Ashton. More investigation and research should be conducted.

My research started with this article by Amy Pavuk of the Orlando Sentinel. http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/2013-02-19/news/os-prescription-drug-sentence-range-20130216_1_roman-mosai-pill-mill-light-sentences In June 2010, Doctor Michael Moyer was arrested on charges of illegally doling out addictive painkillers from his Central Florida office. Moyer pleaded no contest to a racketeering charge in agreements with the state that calls for the physician to serve probation — and no prison time.”

Tens of thousands have been affected by the drug dealing doctors around the country and family members are languishing in jail for much lesser distribution.

The sentence Moyer received is beyond disconcerting.

“State Attorney Jeff Ashton would not comment on the Moyer case”.

This is not a surprise to the radio show. Moyer’s attorney was reported as Mike LeFay. LaFay is listed as a law partner with attorney Mark Nejame http://www.nejamelaw.com/orlando-criminal-defense-attorney/trial-attorney-lafay.html

On September 3, 2011, Mark Nejame sent out a tweet: “Had lunch w #jeffashton yesterday. His book on #caseyanthony will be out soon & telling much of what needs to be told. Will be a good read.” https://twitter.com/CaribbeanGirl03/status/110018592782823424

This is bigger than a doctor going free for drug dealing. The integrity of the legal system is at risk. The drug dealers in Mexico have police, mayors and lawyers on their payroll. Mexico is awash in drug related deaths and destruction. Is Jeff Ashton, a State Attorney, going to go free without any further questions?

The other story in the news is that of Mingo County Sheriff Eugene Crum in West Virginia who was recently killed. His murder should not be ignored nationally. Sheriff Crum had a reputation for “cracking down on illegal prescription drug sales” http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/story?section=news/national_world&id=9051518

With the FDA and DEA already being highly influenced in Washington by Pharma concerning the prescription drug trade and if we lose our law enforcement to drug related crime, every community is in danger of becoming a Ciudad Juarez.

The folk tale “Chicken Little” has the chick crying “The Sky is Falling”. Various versions of the folk tale have various endings.

Should the “dealings” of Jeff Ashton and the killing of Sheriff Crum continue to go unnoticed? I guess it depends on which version of Chicken Little you prefer.

On the radio show, I have “bragged” about being pretty smart. My biggest fault is that I am a slow learner.

I also realize North America’s collective intelligence falls into the same category. When I started the radio show many years ago, I was considered a “radical” and “activist”. In recent times, I am proud to be contacted by the media on occasion for insights and opinions. The road has been a slow process in educating the media and our communities about the truth of the ingenious drug distribution by people in respectable business suits. Every community has been affected humanly and economically by the growing drug epidemic.

For most, Doctor Robert Ben Mitchell’s recent Letter of Allegation concerning Complicity in Genocide in the Florida Pill Mill Massacres sent to Mr. Anand Grover, The Special Rapporteur on the Right of Everyone to the Enjoyment of the Highest Attainable Standard of Health in Switzerland falls into the same category as a radio show. http://trafn.com/Appendices/FPMM_LOA_01.pdf

For years people have told me the radio show doesn’t have a chance. I am sure people have told Doctor Mitchell to forget about the Letter of Allegation.

How dare Dr. Mitchell accuse the Florida Medical and Osteopathic Boards in “Complicity of Genocide” (Germany had doctors prosecuted after the atrocities of the Nazi’s).

How dare Dr. Mitchell bring up the Pill Mills sprouting like bean sprouts under the watchful eye of the medical regulators.

How dare Dr. Mitchell bring up the tens of thousands who died after the medical and osteopathic boards oversaw doctors handing out combinations of pills that had no medical need for the individuals.

How dare Dr. Mitchell bring up the mass amounts of money the Pill Mills were generating under the watchful eyes of the medical regulators.

How dare Dr. Mitchell bring up the mass distribution of dangerous combinations of drugs under the silence of the medical regulators.

How dare Dr. Mitchell display the responsibilitiesof the Medical and Osteopathic Boards which are in direct conflict with the Florida Pill Mill Massacre while the deaths continued to rise.

Dr. Mitchell is one crazy human being. However, I predict he will begin to make sense to the slow learners reading this.

We have become numb from reading about the ineptness from our politicians and the corporate misdeeds from too many business leaders.

For those who still have a semblance of caring and thought, some stories still create some outrage within our sleeping souls.

A recent story in the Ocala Times saddened me. A 28 year old woman has suffered from severe cerebral palsy since birth. Her loving family has taken care of her. http://www.ocala.com/article/20130313/ARTICLES/130319872

In our country, I am sickened that a person in dire medical help has been cast aside and the sole burden is upon a family enduring the woman’s daily struggle alone. This family needs more government assistance.

The outrage I feel is from two examples this week of physically able people collecting checks from our government while a woman with a congenital disease and family need our help.

The outrage I feel is from a healthy 35 year old navy veteran who has no job, but has the time to sue our state because he doesn’t want to be bothered by taking a drug test to obtain government assistance http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/news_politics/2013/02/appeals-court-upholds-drug-testing-injunction.html If this deadbeat has the wherewithal to sue the state, he has the ability to work. If he has the time to find and consult with attorneys to sue the state for free benefits, he has the time to find a job.

Regardless of your feelings about drug testing welfare recipients, the facts are that thousands of children are being affected by the use of drugs by their parents. Supporting a 35 year old free loader to sue the state over illicit drug use is incomprehensible.

The outrage I feel also comes from the story about a “100% disabled veteran” who is collecting government checks and has the ability to “run outside” and confront the police who are pulling out his marijuana plants. http://www.bradenton.com/2013/02/26/4409613/poll-7-in-10-back-florida-medical.html This story includes another government free loader who has the time to work for the best interests of the business suits who want to bring more pot to your schools.

Where is the outrage in our society???????? A story about a 28 year old woman who is completely helpless and she and her family cannot get the proper help to care for her needs!

In the same week I read about two able bodied free loading deadbeats collecting government checks and have the “free” time to receive media coverage to help distribute more drugs to our streets!!!!!

Even the men with low testosterone should feel the outrage.

In 1992, Congress created the Prescription Drug User Fee Act (PDUFA). The intent was to collect additional revenue from the drug companies (Pharma) for the FDA to obtain additional staff to help expedite the approval process for pharmaceuticals. It can be argued on both sides as to the success or failure of PDUFA. http://www.forbes.com/sites/henrymiller/2012/05/23/fda-user-fees-use-consumers-badly/

Most of the criticism of PDUFA is that the FDA is too highly influenced by the Pharma money being collected. The fees collected continue to increase yearly. The 2013 proposed fees are approaching $2 billion http://www.fda.gov/downloads/AboutFDA/ReportsManualsForms/Reports/BudgetReports/UCM291555.pdf This is a whopping $700 million dollars over the projected fees in 2011.

It would be naive to believe the fees do not influence the FDA policy makers. The money has become a necessary part of the FDA life support.

The radio show’s contention is that the fees protect the fox in the henhouse after the chickens have started to die. The information disseminated on the possible side effects and damage implicated from too many drugs is woefully lacking.

The present package inserts approved for the medical professions by the FDA minimize the negative possible outcomes from the drugs.

For example: In Part, the warning label for OxyContin reads “Oxycodone can be abused in a manner similar to other opioid agonists, legal or illicit”.

How about changing the FDA warning to: OxyContin (oxycodone) has been a part of tens of thousands of deaths, and millions more dependent or addicted.

For example: In Part, the warning label for antidepressants reads “antidepressants may increase the risk of suicidal thinking and behavior in some children and adolescents”.

How about changing the warning to: Young girl hangs herself while on an anti-depressant http://www.care2.com/news/member/956805373/824106

For example: Adderall’s present warning isn’t getting the parent’s attention: AMPHETAMINES HAVE A HIGH POTENTIAL FOR ABUSE.

How about changing the warning to: “manufacture admits to 20 reported deaths by heart attack and 12 reported strokes”. http://www.lawyersandsettlements.com/lawsuit/adderall.html

It is the radio show’s contention that education pass the control of Pharma and the drug companies would save lives, create more positive outcomes and save the taxpayers and business billions of dollars that could be used for more productive areas in our communities.

Taking the fox (Pharma) out of the henhouse (FDA) would bring more education to the ultimate consumer and I think a change in the perspective on where powerful mind altering drugs fit into our communities.

America is a benevolent country to be proud of. According to USA Today, Americans reported $217 billion dollars to charitable causes. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2012/11/26/charitable-giving-increased-slightly/1728027/ This is in addition to the estimated 56% of the federal budget allocated for Unemployment, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, etc. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_percentage_of_the_U.S._federal_budget_is_spent_on_entitlements
America spent an additional $20 billion in “international assistance programs” in 2012 http://cnsnews.com/news/article/obama-increased-foreign-aid-80-spent-76-more-foreign-aid-border-security

The numbers make me a proud American. The problem starts with the diabolical charlatans who understand the compassion America has. Helping the poor and defenseless has evolved into masterful marketing by Pharma.

We feel helpless to see a person in writhing pain, terminal illness, severe mental illness and addiction. The human intellect and condition continues to struggle with the unexplainable that brings misery and torment to many.

Pharma has conveniently figured it out. Target the compassion we carry in our hearts and market and sell miracle cures. We laugh at the medicine man doing his dance in old westerns and the patent medicines of the 19th century that were filled with cocaine, morphine, opium and alcohol.

Today we have Pharma selling remedies for pain, depression, anxiety, mental illness, shift disorder, restless leg syndrome and hyperactivity for children (a disease called ADHD). As a society we haven’t evolved past the belief in the medicine man.

Our compassion has developed into a multi-billion dollar fiasco that has created tens of millions who CAN’T function WITHOUT a mind altering drug. The marketing machine that smells Obama Care’s blank check courtesy of America’s compassion is getting ready to bring millions more into the grips of a daily drug.

The business suits that bring marijuana into our high schools continue to roll under the guise of “medical marijuana”. Our compassion is undermining the future of an entire generation.

Like it or not, China and Singapore have vibrant economies and no drugs. We are exporting jobs to other countries because our young developing brains are led to believe that FDA approved drugs are safe as prescribed and marijuana is needed in medicine.

The adults are a lost cause to the growing drug culture, but I continually ask why we are allowing an unfiltered message to our children.

Our compassion is stealing the future of our country before us and the business suits along with Pharma’s masterful marketing is exploiting every ounce of compassion we have.
