Although the Associated Press reported: “On Thursday, an FDA panel took an unofficial 11 to eight vote in favor of approving the drug Remoxy”, the radio show is the only media source in the country telling you that the vote never took place. The Advisory Committee did narrowly concede that the formulation may be less prone to abuse (97% of OxyContin deaths are from swallowing tablets whole), but the Advisory Committee did not vote for approval of the product.
